Classes at the farm
Sheep to Shawl
- February 27 through March 2, 2025
- $200 per person. Lodging and meals not included.
- Max 6 students.
Sign up for this four-day whirlwind tour of fiber arts starting with hand-shearing a sheep here at Havencroft Farm. We’ll move on to skirting the fiber, washing the wool, drying it and dyeing some of it. You’ll lean to spin on a drop spindle and try your hand at a spinning wheel.
We’ll experiment with other fibers like mohair and alpaca.
Then, you’ll help warp a loom and explore different types of weaving.

Goat to cheese
- June 14 and 15, 2025
- $120 per person, includes milk, cultures, and use of equipment. Lodging and meals not included.
- Max of 6 students.
Learn about goat care from milking to hoof trimming in this two-day workshop here on Havencroft Farm.
We’ll use the milk from our goats to make several different types of cheese over the weekend.

Learn to weave on a triloom
- July 13, 2025 only, 10 am to 3 pm
- $50 per person, includes yarn and use of a loom for weaving. Lodging and meals not included.
- Max of 5 students.
Register for this one-day class to learn continuous loop weaving on a one-foot triangle loom. You can weave scarves, vests and much more on these simple looms.
